Kazu's quite sure he didn't have the ring on him when he was in the car, so he couldn't have lost it in the accident.

Even in death, even while struggling against the pull of eternal oblivion, he knew, he's always known, that the ring is right here in Ohno's place.

But he's already poked his nose down the path from the door to the gate, circled around to the small vegetable farm in the backyard, went back up front, out the gate and down the block, and still nothing.

He's starting to lose hope, sanity, and common sense and has already walked into the path of an on-rushing car when he realizes with a startled squawk that he's just about to die a second time--

But he doesn't.

Because at the very last moment, Ohno comes rushing out of nowhere and picks him up.

Then shows him the ring.
