Prompt: 004 Coconut
They had not talked for quite a while since Okada debuted and left the dorm. But when they met again and thought of catching up one random day in spring the following year, they hardly really talked about each other.
Their talk, as always though with a little awkwardness this time, began over nata de coco.
And whenever Satoshi looked back to that day, he could not believe he spent an entire two hours talking about nothing else but that kid.
“I don’t know what’s up with him.”
“Hmmm?” Okada mumbled around the gelatinous treat in his mouth, looking a little distracted, almost euphoric.
“He just seems to pop up beside me all the time!”
“Coincidence?”
“You think?” Satoshi chewed slowly, savoring the sweet juices sliding around in his tongue. “Happens every time, though.”
“Hmmm.” Okada popped another piece into his mouth. “Is it that new kid with the big eyes? Pouty lips? Bunny teeth?”
“Yeah.”
“He’s cute.”
“He’s annoying.”
"Maybe he's a fan?"
Satoshi mulled this over, like the thoughtful way his teeth were mulling over their favorite snack. "Nah."
The languid sounds of munching reflected their thoughts for a while.
“He’ll grow out of it,” Okada offered.

They had not talked since... nobody really knew when anymore. It had really been a while.
But when Satoshi and Okada finally did manage to hang out, they hardly really talked about each other.
Their talk began, as it always did all those years ago, over nata de coco, and basically went down the same path.
"So... Bambi, huh?" Okada mumbled, savoring the gelatinous treat he had missed while trying not to look too orgasmic about it.
"Yeah." Satoshi casually popped another piece into his mouth. He wasn’t ever going to say it, but he did miss the nata more than he did Okada.
"I thought you said he was annoying?"
"Well, you did say he was cute."
Okada’s grin widened. "And?"
The nostalgic sounds of munching filled the space between them for a while.
“I thought about it." Satoshi smiled.
