Even while watching over the life he once had, the people he has left behind, for as long as he can hold on to the memories for that one final rush of genuine happiness he can take along to the afterlife...

And even as peaceful oblivion begins to engulf him right into the collective cluster of souls waiting for another chance at life...

Even as he opens his innocent eyes in another place, at another time to live a brand new existence--

Somehow he knows, he will always know...

That no matter how hard he might resist it, Sho Sakurai will still end up dating a single-minded musician.

***Another inspiration that I have refrained from mentioning so I wouldn't spoil the whole thing up is that episode in the fourth season of Ghost Whisperer entitled, Threshold. I have never cried so hard for any one series as hard as I cried for this one. I can count in one hand the number of episodes that didn’t make me want to just bawl my eyes out.

But what I loved most about the show is Jim’s all-encompassing love for his wife Melinda, as proved in the aforementioned episode, and in many others that came before and after that.***

I do believe in reincarnation.
The very idea of death scares me so much that I guess I needed that one comforting tenet to assure me that it doesn't just end there.
That one day soon, the people we've lost now will find a way to cross our paths again in the next lifetime.

But in the meantime, I hope Sho will eventually find peace with Ohno, too.

And yes, I have noticed that reincarnation seems to be a theme in quite a few of your "supernatural" fics. I like it, and I actually think you might be the one who first got me to accept fantasy/supernatural type Arashi fics (as well as horror!fics). I like the idea of strangers brushing shoulders, of missed opportunities, and of obscure linkages of fate, too! What's meant to be will always find a way, amen.

Rin-chan! You're so bad! Of course how could anyone forget Ghost whisperer! This just about broke my heart you know! You got the insecurities of Kazu, right down to the bone! Despite his cocky, smart-ass attitude, i think that he hides alot of insecurities. I love seme-Kazu too! Always have. I also have imagined him being impulsive and will always see him as a musician (and gamer). How can Sho-chan move on from Kazu now? I want them to end up together!

I did think of the those things that you were saying while reading along the fic, but even if you can love two people in the same lifetime, I guess loving two people at the same time, (with one already dead) is asking for too much trouble.
Don't get me wrong, ❤❤❤ to Oh, of course, but in this univ, I feel Sho belongs to Kazu. Anyway, maybe in this case, it'd be best for him to return to Oh-chan.
And yep, no matter what universe, Kazu's a smart-ass! Hihi!

I read Sakumiya fic too, and love it. I was even able to read yours with Kazu against the dog Sochi. It's one of my dave pairings esp. since I also find Nino possessive in nature. And with all the behind the scenes that show Nino and Sho sharing snickers and glances as if they have secrets the others don't know about makes me ❤❤❤ them. So yep, go Sakumiya fics!
