Planning anniversary dinner dates had never been easy, especially since Sho had been doing it on his own for years.

Not that he was complaining, really. The way Ohno would compensate him for all the hard work afterwards —though, most of which was just unnecessary fussing on his part—was always worth all the sweat and frustration and sleepless nights he had to spend coming up with something uniquely epic each year.

Today, of course, was no exception. Except that they had very limited resources to work with given their circumstances—

“So, how was your day?” he asked, propping his face in one hand while he poked his chopsticks into the special ramen bowl in front of him.

“Same,” Ohno replied after a yawn, never wasting a second to dig into his own ramen bowl.

The food choice was made by his lover, who couldn’t yet indulge his other food cravings because of the strict diet he was on for his special drama. Sho didn’t really mind, though this would probably only satisfy half of his own craving.

“Drama filming went well?” Sho prodded, before shoveling a mouthful of ramen into his mouth.

Ohno hummed, his own mouth full, his cheeks swollen out like a chipmunk’s.

Sho took one look at his lover and smiled affectionately, wondering how it was even possible for a face he had been seeing for years to still thrill his heart like the first time.

Ohno looked at him and smiled back, the glint in his eyes telling Sho, without a doubt, that he was thinking the same way.

“So, how was your day, Sho-chan?” his lover asked, propping his face in one hand and poking his chopsticks playfully into his bowl.

“Same,” he said, grinning teasingly.

A look of confusion flitted pass Ohno’s face and Sho had to choke back an amused chuckle at the fervently sputtered, “Eh?!” that came with it.

“It’s the same, because I saw you,” he explained, almost whispered, his eyes working up the seduction with everything he’s got. “I see you.”

Ohno’s lips began to turn up into a smirk. “You miss me that much already, huh?”

“I miss you everyday,” Sho retorted his voice low and sensual, his skin already rippling from the heat that was suddenly spreading through the hotel room.

“Then hurry up and come home, Sho-chan,” Ohno said with his own brand of teasing laced with a teensy hint of a whine, his flirtatious gaze almost taking Sho’s breath away. He raised his wine glass for a toast and added, his eyes narrowing with unrestrained desire, “I have to make you pay for going away on our anniversary.”

Sho raised his own glass and gently tapped its edge on the screen of his laptop, his fluttering heart almost making him stumble on his words, “Happy anniversary, Satoshi-kun.”
