Pair: Ohno/Sho
Prompt: 76
and this song. <3
Sho would remember a dozen things about this day, even though only one memory would really matter in the long run—
The dazed confusion he felt first thing in the morning was already forgotten the very next minute.
The anxious anticipation that came next was at once blown away by the sea breeze that fluttered like a whispered promise into his cottage.
He remembered how he kept missing buttons in his suit when he finally put it on. And how it had taken him almost half an hour slipping into his pants for fear of ruining them somehow.
He was on his toes the entire time, his breath catching every other minute. He had never imagined himself in this situation before, and there really was only so much preparation he could have done.
He remembered thinking how this could all be just a joke. A prank just waiting to blow up on his face once he was done with the customary march down the aisle—
But then, Satoshi was looking at him from the makeshift altar, framed by an arch of flowers and shells on the shore.
Just looking as though seeing him for the first time. Then smiling as if to say, You’re beautiful.
You’re beautiful, Sho-chan...
And I can’t wait to get started on our lives together.
So can you please walk faster—?
Sho smiled at his own thoughts. He could almost see those words flashing in his groom’s head. His delight eventually swelled, trampling his anxieties the moment he reached his man.
“Finally,” Satoshi sighed into his ear, a hand affectionately cupping over his elbow.
He snorted, planting a playful punch on the older man’s shoulder and earning a flutter of giggles from their entourage and guests.
Then, fingers melding and hearts melting into one, they faced the minister and the magnificent sunrise in the horizon marking the first day of the rest of their lives.

This is the day I make you mine...
