079. Hammock
Pair: Ohno/Sho
Prompt: 79
Satoshi is turning thirty-four this year.
“Another year away from being cute,” Sho teases him one morning while the two of them idled on the floor, half-heartedly waiting for inspiration to not strike.
“I never said I was cute,” Satoshi grumbles with a pout, somehow looking crabbier than a five-year-old.
“Wo-ho! Somebody’s a cranky old man today!” Sho guffaws. “And appealing your cuteness with a pout is not working, by the way.”
Satoshi gives Sho’s shoulder a hard shove, face putting on a boyish frown along with the pout, “Sho-chan’s terribly hard to please these days...”
“Still not working, Satoshi-kun,” Sho mocks, though he’s really just a breath away from changing his mind.
Satoshi lets out a ‘phbt’ before bolting up and stalking back to their room without another word.
“STILL NOT WORKING!” Sho calls out, almost snorting on his laughter.
But he stops abruptly when it dawns on him that he might have gone and overdone the teasing this time around.
Mornings do not exactly make an angel out of Satoshi Ohno.
With a shrug and a sigh, Sho goes after his beloved old man—
And finds him sleeping peacefully, all curled up like an unborn baby in pajamas, in the comfortable hollow of the hammock chair he insists on hanging in their room.
The sight practically took Sho’s breath away. “So cute...”
“Working now?” Satoshi asks, cracking open an eye.
An angry huff, three quick strides and a slap to a smirking man’s forehead later—
“That was sneaky,” Sho mumbles, as they wiggle and twist around in the stuffy hollow of the hammock chair, struggling to find the most comfortable fit for spooning.
“Hmmm...” Satoshi hums behind him. “Sho-chan is not cute enough for this hammock.”
“Jerk.”
Satoshi snickers.
Sho pouts.
They eventually take the spooning to bed.
