009. Laugh Track
Pair: Ohno/Sho
Prompt: 84 Author’s Choice
Sho had the loudest laugh. The kind that grated at your ears and rumbled in your head and stayed and festered there long after the actual laughing was over.
It did annoy Satoshi to no end sometimes, especially when the laughter was at his expense, and he wasn’t even trying to be funny, and there wasn’t a roomful of audience to help curb its impact so that it didn’t knock a screw in his head and make him want to reach out and clamp a hand over Sho’s face.
Sometimes though, he just craved for it. Especially when he was alone and the man who made all the noises in the house was on the other side of the world, leisurely killing his supposed ‘me-time’ with his friends.
“So, I woke up late this morning and ended up leaving the house in one of my bacon briefs. Again.”
Sho yawned. “You called to tell me this?”
“Well, yeah.”
“I did the laundry before I went away.”
“You did. But I just went and grabbed stuffs because the car was already downstairs.”
“And you called to tell me this?” Sho asked again.
“Well... yeah.”
“It’s freakin’ three a.m. here, and you’re calling to tell me THIS?!”
“I thought I’d call and tell you so you can laugh at me.”
There was total silence on the other line.
“Because... you know...” I miss you. “...it’s awfully quiet in here.”
The softest chortle broke through the calm. “Silly...” A familiar snort finally gave way to full-blown laughter. “You’re a silly old man, Satoshi.”
Sho’s laugh was, of course, still as grating as ever, rumbling like a witch’s curse through the wires.
It soon faded into a heartfelt sigh. “I miss you, too...”
“I know.” Satoshi smiled.
His whole day had just been made.

Date: 2014-07-07 05:15 am (UTC)These things have gone far beyond drabble-and-a-halves though, lol~! The way these boys play with our heads can really make 150 words feel like a sigh.
Or a fart.XDDno subject
