If only Satoshi had brought the flowers earlier...

If only Sho had recognized his lover sooner...

If only the infected had been given more time to re-discover life on their own terms...

Maybe the government would never have had to blow the entire city up...

Maybe Sho and Satoshi would’ve at least been able to hug...

Or kiss—

But everything just had to happen a little too late, a little too soon...

And all Sho could ever manage was the twitch of an unfinished smile on his lips, before his entire world was plunged into darkness...

For the second time.
