Circuits
[Ohno/Sho] [PG-13] [non-AU?]
***Warning: lousy attempt at robot fluff***
***More than a drabble because it’s Sho’s agency anniversary (omedetou~!) and I didn’t drabble anything up to celebrate Leader’s six days ago (gomen-detou!). 😘
They found the device by chance, when the clumsy red incinerator robot working the west-end dumpsters with a blue incinerator much like himself wheeled over it and made it scream.
Blue picked it up carefully, trying not to crash it further in his steel clamps.
The restless bugs dancing around inside it, nimble movements timed to the beat of the strange device’s chirpy cries, instantly seized the robots’ prototype sensors.
Then a rather consuming heat flittered through the circuits of the central control systems in their chests; their steel hands suddenly reaching out, hooking together; led-powered eyes fixing on each other’s gaze as overworked wires trembled inside copper sheaths—
They knew it wasn’t their memories to claim, but the DNA sequences embedded into their programs had already sent them reeling into a crackling frenzy.
And in the grainy projections of their secondhand memories, they were suddenly the restless bugs. Geared up in those transparent suits that left very little to the imagination; the two of them with three more dancing around to the beat of that familiar song—
They had proper legs back then instead of tractor treads; arms instead of hydraulic shovels; and five fingers that naturally laced together in a tight, reassuring grip, if not in sharp, mind-blowing rapture—
Red let out a high-pitched purr that might’ve been his version of embarrassed laughter.
Blue let out a comical squeak, his binocular eyes wiggling and whizzing in playful perversion.
They would soon be chirping and whirring together in mutual bliss, their circuits humming in pleasant remembrances of a life they had apparently shared in a different form, in a lifetime long past, but never forgotten—
Arashi... Arashi... For dream...

Date: 2014-10-23 09:26 pm (UTC)I was re-watching the movie and this came up. Wall-E never gets old, ne~ ✨
Yama did have that fated meeting in Osaka some years back. And them going 'we shall be together for life' about it is what has established them as Fated Couple in my head. No matter where and when, or the circumstances, they will always find their way back to each other. <---totally biased Yama-shipper view, lol~!
On a similar note, I do think Arashi are fated to be together, too. 😊
